I hope you enjoyed your extra long Family Day weekend! Below is a copy of the notice I sent home on Thursday regarding our 100 Day Celebration. Please let me know if you have any questions!
The
“Hundredth Day of School” is coming! We are planning a big celebration and this
homework assignment is in preparation for the event. Here’s what to do:
1. Brainstorm things you and your
family could easily collect in quantities of 100.
2. Choose something from your list
and gather 100 of that item.
3. Design a unique way to display
your collection (eg. Creat a collage of 100 pictures of toys from a catalogue
or glue 1—gold fish crackers in the shape of a fish.
4. Please be sure you have exactly
100 of your item in your display. Bring your collection to school by Friday, February 15, 2013.
In
addition, we are suggesting that the students dress up on Friday, February 15th as a 100 year old
person—how they think they would look/dress like if they were 100 years old. Try
to brainstorm some ideas with your child. Students should arrive at school
dressed in their “100 year old outfit”.
